Hmmm where did November and December go?

So I didn't blog in the month of  November...
Mostly because my camera is outta commission.
There is dust on the inner lens and it distorts the pictures I take (sometimes).
So I have put it on the shelf to sit until I have time to deal with that.
I was actually really "busy" in the month of November.
I worked a lot of subbing jobs and made sure I got up everyday at 6am just in case I got a call for a job.

I'm 27 years-old and my mom still got me an Advent Calendar.

JoAnna and I hosted an Ugly Sweater and Fondue party.
It was a blast and we had a great turn out!

Meg Dib and I did some holiday baking.
These are called Butter Horns, delicious.

Our fantastic Christmas tree.

The Christmas Cactus bloomed just in time!

This year all my girlfriends received lavender sugar scrub. :)

I finally found all my bedding in storage and was able to get everything put together!
Let the snuggling with my new Kindle begin!

Here's to a new year! I hope everyone has a safe NYE!

Aloo Gobi and Monster Cookies?

My friend Meg Dib and I got together and made some Aloo Gobi and Monster Cookies.
Yes, it might be an odd combination, but delicious.

I made the Monster Cookie batter and Megan baked them.

Megan made this Aloo Gobi recipe.

Both were fantastic treats.

Baking Fool

Since I was sick and cooped up in the house, I started to get a little stir crazy.
So I decided to make some goodies for my family.

Granny June's Peanut Butter Cookies

Mix together thoroughly:
-1 cup soft shorting
-1 cup peanut butter
-1cup sugar
-1cup brown sugar
-2 eggs

Stir In:
-2 ½ cups flour
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
-½ teaspoon salt

-Chill the batter in the refrigerator (usually how long it takes for the oven to preheat)
-Roll into balls
-Place on a cookie sheet
-Flatten with a fork in a crisscross pattern
-Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes

Want a smaller batch? Cut the recipe in half.

I also made Chai Tea Cupcakes.
You can find the recipe here.
Delicious!

Red Lodge, MT

I went to Red Lodge, MT with my best friend JoAnna and her two kiddos.
It was so much fun. I hadn't been to Red Lodge in years. It was a nice little vaca.

We stayed at Moose Manor.
It was cute and cozy.

It had a hot tub and fire pit. Relaxing.

 Red Lodge Farmer's Market.
We bought the best homemade tamales.

Not too sure about the stuffed bear...

Uncle Fester was my favorite to photograph.

 Flower garden.

 Cowboy the gift shop cat.

We got some delicious candy at the Montana Candy Emporium.

For dinner we headed over to the Bearcreek Saloon.
Here is a video of the pigs racing.

Don't mind my horrible camera skills.

There are more pictures in my Picasa gallery.

It's Been Awhile...

So I've been meaning to update my blog, but I was sick for about a month.
No joke.
I haven't felt that sick in years.
Anyways....
I went to Montana Fair with my friend Megan and it was a blast!
So here are some pictures from Montana Fair.

This little boy asked if I wanted to pet his pig, so I did.
Cutie.
Too funny.
They just got clipped and it was a little chilly.
A huge cake...It probably had been sitting there a week.
Corn on the cob cupcakes, adorable.
Random jars of food. Also, there were lots of baked goods, fruits, and vegetables.
Ferris wheel.
Zipper!
Duck pond.

I love Stephen Colbert!

As someone who now in my late 20's I am a bit obsessed with health and fitness.
I haven't laughed this hard in a while. :)

Mayonnaise, Mustard, Ketchup.

So a lot has been going on this past month.
We celebrated my dad's 50th birthday a couple weeks ago and I managed not to take and photos?
What's wrong with me! :(
Our family friend did take some pictures so hopefully I'll get those soon. :)

I only have 2 days of work left...
Then I'm going to take some time off and travel.
I am sure going to miss my summer program kiddos though.
I wish them the best of luck in the next school year!

Here are a few snap shots from my cell phone.

 Swimming at South Park.
 Rolling on the Bike Trail.
 Parachute fun at Pioneer Park.
We found this Cicada at the park the other day...
Tinkerbell hogging the remote. :)

Scobey, MT

I took a little road trip to Scobey, MT with my friend Brandi.

Here are some snap shots.

This picture cracks me up.

The start of a very intense/amazing storm.

I kept trying to get pictures of the lighting,
but we were speeding down the highway so we could beat the storm!

This horse is heavy...

We rode around in this sweet old ride. Thanks Brooks.

Breath taking sunset on the golf course.

Circle, Montana
Impressive to say the least.

Settling in...

When I was traveling back to the USA my carry-on luggage was all of my precious home decor/souvenirs from Asia.

So I've found some spots in my temporary living arrangements for a few of my little treasures.

My little Chinese couple from Tricia.
My orange Thai Buddha, little Thai elephants, silk scarf from Thailand,
hand-painted fan from Chloe, and my Buddhist prayer beads.
 Hello handsome. I <3 Jetoy.
I finally bought a cheap poster frame for my Andy Warhol poster.
Thanks for sending it to me Britney!
Buddha candle (I bought it at Ross), my family thinks it smells horrible.
Happy cat coaster
Korean Flag!

As of lately I am too lazy to take pictures on my regular camera....
Hopefully, I'll bust it out one of these days and take some pictures again...

4th of July!

It was nice to actually celebrate the 4th of July this year!

I made some chocolate covered strawberries.

After I was done Maxine had a bit of the dipping sauce...
I think most of it got on her shirt. Opps.

This firework was ridiculous. Ha ha.

This firework was called a "Friendship Pagoda."
However, it wasn't very friendly b/c a piece shot off and hit Ashley in the leg!

Estelle loves chocolate covered strawberries, too cute!

Harvest Church Fireworks! You can see them from my parent's deck so we had a great view.

Kinda spooky through the trees...
